Marge Marshall

(From Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home)

Margaret Mae Marshall, age 84, of El Dorado Springs, MO, went to be with the lord and her beloved husband in Heaven, surrounded by her family in her home. She was born on December 18, 1941, one of three children born to Richard and Thelma Scotten.

Marge attended school and graduated from Walker, MO in 1960. She married the love of her life Howard "Tuffy" Marshall on December 9, 1977, and together they raised 6 children, and were blessed with 10 grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. She lived a life of several careers including banking, MFA, babysitting, Pogo's, and being a wonderful homemaker.

Marge accepted the Lord as her savior and was baptized as a teenager. She attended both First Baptist Church of El Dorado Springs, and Harwood Southern Baptist where she devoted a lifetime of faith.

Marge's life was a part of a greater story woven together by family, friendship, and love. Anyone close to Marge knew the love she held for her family and insisted everyone was together for holidays and Sunday dinners, where sometimes she would cook for up to 40 people.

Marge's favorite time of year was Christmas where she loved to host all of her children and grandchildren, and if you found yourself there unannounced, she would still somehow have a gift ready!

She could be described as THE BEST Grandma, a wonderful cook, and someone who left a lifetime of memories to those she loved. As family and friends reflect on Marge's life, may they find peace in her memory, strength in one another, and comfort in knowing that a life remembered with love is never truly forgotten.

Survivors include children: Terri True of Lamar, Tania Molz (Steve) of El Dorado Springs, Pam Hamilton (Stanley) of Climax Springs, Randy Marshall of El Dorado Springs, Misty Hogenson (Matt) of Cape Fair, Gena Marshall of Ozark; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and siblings, Dick Scotten (Annette), and Connie Peckman (Rick).

Preceding Marge in death were her parents; beloved husband, Tuffy Marshall; and one son-in-law, Dennis True.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to Virgil City Cemetery.
