Teri Kaye Highfill Jones, age 58 of Webb City, passed from this life on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Teri was born October 9, 1955 to Paul and Billie Best. She graduated from Springfield’s Hillcrest High School. On June 29, 1973 she married Terry Highfill. To this union were born three daughters and one son. Teri Kaye and Terry were married for 26 years and remained wonderful friends to this day.
On March 6, 2004 she married Dave Jones in Eureka Springs, AR. He survives.
Teri worked at a variety of jobs in her life and specialized in customer service in the retail business.
Additional survivors include a son, Chad Highfill of St. Louis, MO; three daughters, Melanie Miner and husband Dave of Webb City, Stacey Walton and husband Cody of Car Junction, Tara Highfill of Joplin; stepson, Jeff Jones; three brothers, Michael Best, Dennis Best and Derek Best; two sisters, Julie Smith and Kenna Anagnostou; and 13 grandchildren in whom she found her greatest joy.
Teri was preceded in death by one of the most special people in her life, Terry's mom Lois Highfill.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Parker Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital.

Justin Oldham

Justin R. Oldham, 36, lifelong resident of Carthage, passed away on December 7, 2013 near Baxter Springs, Kansas. He was born October 16, 1977 to Raymond and Jeanelle “Hoover” Oldham in Carthage, Missouri. Justin formerly worked at Ozark Powder Company in Carthage; he was a cook at Benchwarmers Restaurant in Oronogo and had various construction jobs.

Lou Denny
Louis W. ‘Lou’ Denny, age 94, Carthage, passed away at 3:12 a.m. Saturday, December 07, 2013 at his residence.
Lou was born March 20, 1919 in Quincy, Illinois to the late Clovis Denny and Emma Weber Denny.
He worked at Emerson Electric Company as assistant general manager of electro mechanical products for 48 years, retiring in 1984. Lou was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1944 until 1946. He was a 30 year member of the V.F.W. Post #2590, Carthage and served as past District 7 Commander. He was also involved with running Bingo at the post for 25 years.
He married Hellen Louise Bass on December 28, 1970 in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Steve Denny, Washington; a daughter, Linda Hartwig, St. Louis, Mo; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; in-laws, Bill and Velma Bass, Perry, Iowa, Carroll Bass, Carthage; Scott and Barb Simmer, Rod Neuhalfen, and several other extended family members and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Lou was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Graveside services are planned for Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Park Cemetery, Carthage. Rev. Bob Simon will officiate. Pallbearers will be Scott Simmer, Rod Neuhalfen, Dick Frink, Doug Klouse, Jim Hammond and Tom Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Carroll Bass, Jason Scott, and Jim Hartley. The family will receive friends from 6-7:00 p.m. Monday at Parker Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the V.F.W. Post #2590, Carthage, in care of Parker Mortuary.

Carol Ann Knippel, age 65, Joplin, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at a local healthcare center after a sudden illness.
Carol was born October 9, 1948 in Joplin to the late Kenneth and Geneva Waggoner.
She worked for many years in the daycare at the former St. John’s Regional Medical Center. A homemaker, she loved being around children. Her time with her children and grandchildren meant everything to her. Carol also enjoyed listening to music and trips to play Bingo.
She married Eugene Knippel on December 15, 2001 in Joplin. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Stana Foreman and her husband, Michael, Anderson, Ann McClintic and Chris Diaz, Joplin; one brother, Kenny Waggoner and his wife, Sandy, Joplin; six grandchildren, Christian Triplett, Brianna Triplett, Landin Foreman, Danae Triplett, Paxton McClintic, Marshall Foreman; one great granddaughter, Ariah Lukey; and several other extended family members.
A visitation is planned for Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carol Ann Knippel Memorial Fund, in care of Parker Mortuary.

Randy Hebel
Randall Lee ‘Randy’ Hebel, Sr., age 61, Joplin, passed away at 3:10 a.m. Friday, December 6, 2013 at his residence after a sudden illness.
Randy was born March 11, 1952 in Harrisonville, Missouri to Henry Lee Hebel and Norma Jean Scott Hebel.
He was a longtime employee of Alto Systems, Inc., Houston, Texas and had also worked at Tyson Foods, Noel, Missouri for several years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War and stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Randy loved fishing; going to the lake; spending time with his family; his wife and animals. He was truly a wonderful man that spoiled his wife rotten. He was always willing to help out a friend in need.
He married Candice Elaine Sutton on July 2, 1987 in Humble, Texas. She survives at the home.
Additional survivors include his parents, Henry Lee Hebel and Norma Jean Hebel, Quincy, Illinois; two sons, Randall Lee Hebel, Jr. and his wife, Robin, Ft. Benning, Georgia, Dustin Lee Cawyer and his wife, Megan Cawyer, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Kacey Ann Vuong and her husband, Ted Vuong, Humble, Texas, Holly Lynn Schilling and her husband, Keith, Carl Junction; grandchildren, Shelby, A.J., Karina, Ryan, Keation, Darian, C.J., Lily; one great grandchild, Urijah; and one sister, Nancey Guehl and her husband, Tom, Morton, Illinois.
Randy will be taken for cremation. No formal services are planned at this time.

Ronald Leon Arnall, 64, Granby, died Dec. 5, 2013 from injuries sustained in a automobile accident 4 miles north of Pierce City. Ronald was born June 23, 1949 in Neosho, the son of Peter and Myrtle (Griffin) Arnall. He was a lifelong Granby resident and served in the U.S. Army and Navy Reserves. Ronald was retired and has served as Mayor of Granby since April 2013 and has been a lifelong member of the Granby Gospel Tabernacle Church. He married Wyleta (McGehee) on April 26, 1969 in Seneca and she survives. Also surviving are two children, Gina Eberle, Freeman, MO and Michael Arnall, Neosho; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Eberle, Hannah Eberle, Madison Eberle, Gage Eberle and Aliyah Young; one brother, Bob Arnall, Neosho and a sister, Pam McMahan, Neosho. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Young.

Walter Russell Simpson, 73 passed away at Mercy Hospital Joplin, MO December 5, 2013.

Walter was born November 23, 1940 in Siloam Springs Arkansas to Roy Simpson and Lettie “Bailey” Simpson. Walter was a resident of Diamond for the past 3 years and a lifetime Rogers Arkansas resident. He worked as Quality control for the past 15 years and retired from Tyson Foods. He was a member of the Diamond Christian Church, Diamond Mo. Walter was united in marriage to Gayla Youngblood November 23, 1985 in Rogers Arkansas she survives. Walter is survived by his wife, four sons Earcle Simpson and wife Darla of Bentonville, Roy Simpson, Rodney Simpson and Myron Sidman of Rogers, two daughters Michelle Musical and husband Nick of Fayetteville and Lori Rollins of Rogers. Ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Walter is preceeded by his parents, three sisters Joyce Pollard, Corrine Letter and Nancy Comer and one brother Rodney Simpson.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday December 11, 2013 at the Diamond Christian Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December 10, 2013 at Diamond Christian Church Diamond, Missouri. Burial will be at the Diamond Cemetery. Contributions can be made
