David O’Neil Cummings, 79, North Carolina, died at his home on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
He was born in Fairview, Missouri, on July 2, 1937, the son of the late John and Kate (Marion) Cummings. Mr. Cummings served his country in the United States Navy from 1956-1960. He was a retired machinist in the hydraulics industry, a master craftsman and professional in his field. He was also a skilled carpenter and enjoyed woodworking. He will be dearly missed.
He leaves behind his wife of more than 25 years, Hattie Hegge Cummings of the home; two sons, David (Danise) Cummings of Sarcoxie and Michael Cummings of Neosho; three step-sons: Ricky Marion of Tobaccoville; Michael Marion of King and Tony Marion of Lexington; one daughter, Tina (Billy) Strobel of Louisville, Kentucky; two step-daughters, Carolyn (Bobby) Shaw of Linwood and Shannon Marion and twelve grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Otis Cummings.
Graveside services will be held on Wed., April 12, 2017 at 1 pm at Dice Cemetery in Fairview, Missouri.
