Eleanor G. Souders, 90, Reno, Nevada, formerly of Anderson, MO, died peacefully in her sleep on April 12, 2017.
Eleanor was born Aug. 4, 1926 in Joplin, the daughter of Glenn and Sylvia (Wallace) Westfall. She attended schools in Emporia, Kansas and was a homemaker. While living in Anderson, she was involved with the Senior Citizens Groups in Lanagan and Pineville, helping with the flowers and taking care of the building. She moved to Reno in 2005 from Anderson.
Eleanor and Walter J. Souders, Jr. were married on Nov. 25, 1942 in Neosho and he preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 2002. She is survived by three children, Carl Souders of Jasper, MO; Sharon L. Stoppleman of Arizona and Janice F. Maddux of Reno, NV and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters, Karen and Joyce.
Friends may call at the Clark Funeral Home, Neosho on Friday from 9 am until 5 pm and Saturday from 9 am until 1 pm.
