Pat Holden

Patsy M. "Pat" Holden, age 88, formerly of Joplin, passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 in Springfield, Missouri..

Pat was born August 7, 1928 in Webb City, Missouri, daughter of the late Jack and Valentine Jeter. She has been a lifelong area resident, and worked for Safeway Bakery for many years, and also worked at mall Double Up Fashions and the Hush Puppy Shoe Store. She was a member of Forest Park Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother who put the needs of others ahead of her own.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Holden who died April 16, 2014.

Survivors include her sister, Wanda June Bechhold of West Monroe, Louisiana; her children, Jim Holden of Joplin, Kathy Firey and husband Sam of Joplin, and Debbie Whitlock and husband Brad of Springfield; grandchildren, Michael Holden of Joplin, and Tamblyn Manley and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Tori, Logan, and Jade; great-great-grandchildren Ciera and Bella.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Dr. John Swadley officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
