(From Parker Mortuary)Allen Ray Williamson was carried from his earthly home to his heavenly home with Jesus on February 9, 2021, 6:30 p.m. after a long illness. Allen was born in Randolph County, Indiana, to Guy and Ruth (Rolland) Williamson on March 21, 1941. He moved to Joplin, Missouri, in 1972. He retired from Frito Lay in 2003. He was a long-time member of Joplin Peace. He loved God, his family, and his church family.
Allen was preceded in death by his father, mother, two sisters, and one brother.
On January 12, 1967, he was united in marriage to Vicy (Glover) Gulley at Jamestown, Tennessee.
She survives, along with six sons, Troy Williamson (Susan) of Ocala, Florida, Mark Gulley (Charlotte), Ken Gulley (Tonya), Jeffrey Gulley, Jonathan Gulley, and James Gulley, all of Joplin, Missouri; six grandchildren, Keya Cunningham, Markus Gulley, Jamie James, Joel Gulley, Phillip Williamson, and Ryan Williamson; five great-grandchildren, Allee Cunningham, Devan Cunningham, Jaydon Flores, Jonathon Williamson, and Alexa Williamson; one great-great-grandchild, Mikiya Cunningham.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Joplin Peace, 416 South Maiden Lane, Joplin, Missouri.
