(From Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home)Deena Monzell Abramovitz, 62, of Wentworth, Missouri was called home to Heaven on Saturday February 20, 2021. She was born on March 24, 1958 in La Mirada, California; the daughter of Don Hawhee and the late Carolyn (Wilson) Hawhee.
She was united in marriage on May 10, 1975 to in Pierce City, Missouri to Leonard Abramovitz.
She was a retired LPN having worked for Dr. Costley in Monett and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri.

Deena is survived by her husband Leonard; her father: Don Hawhee of Bedford, Iowa; four sons: James Abramovitz of Wentworth, Joseph Abramovitz of Pierce City, Kenneth Abramovitz of Stockton and Daniel Abramovitz of Wentworth; three sisters: Sharon (Jamie) Arnold of Clyde, North Carolina, Jill (Ken) Whitehill of Sidney, Iowa, and Pamela (John) Skerritt of Ames, Iowa; and five grandchildren: Collin James, Shelby Rene, Samantha Jo, Allison Taylor and Elijah Adam Abramovitz.
Visitation for Deena is being held on Tuesday February 23, 2021 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. with Rosary being held at 7:00p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri. Funeral Mass is being held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 10:00a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pierce City, Missouri. Burial will follow services at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Pierce City, Missouri.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett, Missouri.
