Mrs. Deborah Sue “Debbie” Brubaker, 70, of Webb City, Missouri, departed this life on Friday, February 19, 2021, in the comfort of her home after a battle with cancer.

Debbie entered this life on February 18, 1951, in Holden, West Virginia, daughter of the late Millard and Lavera (Sturgeon) Pack. She was raised in Columbus, Ohio, where she graduated high school in 1968. She resided in Sheridan, Wyoming before moving to Webb City in 1984. 

On April 12, 1986, she was united in marriage to Jay Brubaker and together they have shared the last thirty-four years. 

Debbie worked as an administrator for Doss Office Systems in Joplin for several years. She also served as a caregiver for a family with special needs children. She enjoyed quilting, oil painting and caring for her beloved dog, Max.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ramona and Greta.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Jay, of the home; a sister, JoAnn Shaffer of Sheridan, Wyoming; nine nieces and nephews; and seven great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, February 24, 2021, from 5-7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home in Webb City.
