(From Clark Funeral Home)Jerry Price Huffman passed away peacefully on February 19, 2021 at home, surround by family at the age of 81. Jerry was born May 15, 1939 in Neosho, Missouri to Garland and Margaret (Pierson) Huffman.
Jerry and Mary (Helf) Huffman were married December 14, 1957 at Jones Chapel. They went to St. Louis for a visit and stayed for 43 years.
Jerry worked for the railroad and for Cajun Electric in St. Louis. He retired in 2000 and moved back to the farm where he grew up in Stark City. Jerry was an Army veteran who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed gardening, mowing grass, growing flowers and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan since the age of 7.
He and Mary spent 21 years of retirement traveling, spending many winters in Florida and visiting their children and grandchildren. Jerry accepted the Lord at age 14 at the Alta Sita Methodist Church in East St. Louis, Illinois. He was a member of Newtonia Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Bible studies.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary; two sons, Ken (Judy) Huffman and Stanley (Paula) Huffman, son-in-law, Mark Mize, brother, Dennis (Priscilla) Huffman, sister, Carolyn (Dave) Sandtorf; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great great niece. He was honorary Grandpa to many nieces and nephews.
