(From Daniel Funeral Home)Leila Ellen Giger, age 87, of Lamar, Missouri passed away February 19, 2021, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar.
Leila was born January 14, 1934 in Dade County, MO to James Henry Clark and Josephine Elizabeth (Feezell) Clark. On September 17, 1954, Leila married Marion Lee Giger in Kenoma, MO.
Leila was a housewife and worked at Big Smith, but her love was raising dogs for over 40 years. She sold dogs to the Hunte Corporation and won many awards for her breeds. Leila was also active in the Irwin 4-H.
Survivors include one son; Richard Giger (Derelene Knight), six grandchildren; Dusty Giger, Josh Giger, Austin Phipps, Casey Phipps, Brent Phipps, Justin Braudaway, six great-grandchildren; Hannah Giger, Payton Giger, Tucker Giger, Baylee Giger, Trinity Phipps and Clark Phipps.
Preceding Leila in death were her husband Marion, one daughter; Joyce Braudaway, one brother, two sisters and her parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Sheldon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 24, 2021 starting at 10:00 a.m. until service time.
