(From Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home)On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 Robert Louis Scott, a loving father, grandfather and friend, walked into the arms of Jesus at the age of 83.
Robert was born April 9, 1937 in Malvern, Arkansas to Louis and Ruth Scott. After high school he joined the Navy and later the Army National Guard. He served our country for 32 years as a helicopter mechanic and crew chief.
On May 29, 1965 he married Linda Fredene Weaver and together they raised two daughters Gina and Tammy.
Roberts faith and love for Jesus was so important, and he was passionate about sharing his faith with others. He loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends. His love and compassion for his family was genuine and evident to those who knew him. He enjoyed caring and serving others in various ways through Avalon Hospice, Meals on Wheels and Gideon’s. He was known for his love, care and compassion for others.
Robert is preceded in death by his father Louis, mother Ruth and wife Linda. He is survived by his daughter’s Gina and Tammy, son in law Robert, granddaughter Amber and her husband Logan, grandsons Logan, Zach and Josh, brothers Charles and his wife Nancy, Doug and his wife Glenda, several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday February 19, 2021 at Christ’s Church of Oronogo in the main Worship Center at 5:00pm.
