Thomas Cotten

Thomas R. Cotten, 62, Neosho, MO, passed into eternal rest February 22, 2021 at his home after a long illness.

Thomas Ray Cotten was born September 12, 1958 in Pineville, LA the son of Charles and Nellie (Boyett) Cotten. Thomas was a carpenter by trade and had worked in many states over the years. He worked in general carpentry and even worked with construction companies on roadways and bridges. Thomas worked for APAC for seven years until his health begin to fail in 2005. 

Thomas loved to sing, read his Bible, watch football, go fishing and especially watching westerns with his girls. He loved his family and spending time with them. Thomas was of the Pentecostal Faith.








Thomas R. Cotten married Elizabeth Edwards May 16, 1975 in Columbia, MS and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Tabitha Koderick, Seneca, Christy Johnson, Neosho and Crystal Mercer, Joplin; grandchildren, Zach Koderick, Stetson Johnson, Dylan Koderick, Jacob Mercer, McKenzie Johnson and Harlie Mercer; great-grandchildren, Leighton Johnson and Remington Koderick; two fur babies, Jazzy and Pebbles; sibling’s, Ronald Cotten, Neosho; Curtis Cotten, Rita LeMonie, Seneca and a host of extended family and friend.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Nellie Cotten.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 7pm Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Racine Apostolic Church.

Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO will be held, 2:00 pm, Friday, February 26, 2021 at the Racine Apostolic Church with Pastor Steve Epley and Pastor Kelly Sampson officiating. Burial will be in the Burkhart Cemetery with David Cotten, Joe Cotten, Nathan Cotten, Larry Thompson, Cliff Wood and Cliff Sampson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathaniel Cotten and Monty Cotten.
