May Lewis

Litty 'May' Lewis was born September 22, 1925 in Texas, one of seven children to Reuben A. and Alva E. (Cline) Jordan. She entered into rest on February 17, 2021 in Neosho at the age of 95, following an extended illness. 

May moved to the area in 1945 from Broken Bow, Oklahoma in 1945 and was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, reading and Bible study. She was a longtime member of the Birch Baptist Church. 

May and Charley Benton Lewis were married in 1945 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 1993.

She is survived by two daughters, Sue (Rick) Callis of Neosho and Peggy (Jim) Leonard of New Castle, Colorado; four grandchildren, Randy (Jennifer) Ludiker of Neosho, Brenda (Rob) Hopper of Neosho, Allan (Zoe) Ludiker of Lees Summit, Missouri and Trevor Gray of Colorado; numerous great grandchildren and one sister, Ruby Mills of Central Point, Oregon. 

 In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by five siblings.
