(From Clark Funeral Home)After several weeks of illness, Delpha Lee Speak, 84, Carthage, MO passed away peacefully on February 17, 2021, with her family at her side. Delpha was born September 22, 1936 in Granby, MO to Marie (Farley) and Bill Patterson.
She was a homemaker, an avid bridge player, and loved to travel. Delpha loved spending time with her daughters. She was a passionate grandmother and loved going to her grandchildren’s events. Delpha was a member of BYKOTA Church in Carthage, MO.
Delpha and Bill Speak were married December 17, 1954 in Granby, MO. After many years in Neosho, the family moved to Leoti, KS, then in 2002, moved to Carthage, MO where their home remains.
Delpha is survived by her husband, Bill; three daughters, Holli Simpson and husband, Terry, Rhonda Lettow and husband, David, and Shelly Shepherd and husband, Rob; two brothers, Gaylon Patterson and wife, Marla and Bill Patterson and wife, Vicki; thirteen grandchildren; and thirty-eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Lynn Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at BYKOTA Church, Carthage, MO with John Petticrew officiating. Interment will follow at Fullerton Cemetery, Carthage. A time of visitation will be held at BYKOTA Church on Friday from 4:30 pm until 6:30 pm.
