(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Irma Lee Boggs Landes, 75, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, in the comfort of her sister’s home, Carol Boggs, surrounded by her loving family.
Irma was born on Tuesday, September 14, 1948, in Carthage, Missouri. To the union of the late Leonard and Marjorie (Pennington) Maggard.
On April 18, 1964, she was united in marriage to Melvin L. Boggs, together they shared thirty-eight years of wonderful memories until his passing on May 6, 2002. On June 25, 2005, she was united in marriage to Arthur Landes, sharing thirteen years until his passing on March 12, 2019. After Arthur’s passing, she made Sarcoxie, Missouri her home. For many years she was a dedicated employee of Walmart in Carthage. She was a member of New Fairview Baptist Church in Sarcoxie. She enjoyed puzzles, embroidering. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as other family and friends. Irma will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Melvin L. Boggs and Arthur Landes; and sister, Goldie Redman.
Irma is survived by her children, Bryon Boggs and wife, Rhonda, Kristie Endicott and husband, James and Tammie Hummel and husband, Micah, all of Wentworth, Missouri; grandchildren, Emily Lee and husband, Mike, Kelby Endicott and wife, Joanna, Caleb Endicott and wife, Tara, Joseph Endicott and wife, Anna, Rebekah Filsinger, and husband, Nathan, Joshua Endicott and wife, Mille, Samantha Wilkins and husband, James, Hannah Ward and husband, Connor, Morgan Hummel and Tiffany Putnam and husband, Jason; twenty-one great-grandchildren; step children, Annette Landes, Roger Landes and wife, Karen, Jennifer Brown and husband, Gary, Michaell Wilcox and husband, Dwain and Mitchell Landes and wife, Eugenia; step grandchildren, Matthew Landes, Shawn Landes and wife, Katie, Johnathan Landes and wife, Ocean, Felicity Houpt, Kecia Beard and husband, Joseph, Ben Brown and wife Sierra, Elizabeth Derstine and husband Wesley, Amanda Snearly, Adam Snearly, and Aaron Snearly and wife, Kathryn; siblings, Carol Boggs of Wentworth, Darrell Maggard and wife, Mary, of Carthage, Joe Maggard of Lamar, Phillip Maggard of Carthage, Cheryl Hill and husband, Max, of Carthage, Linda Davis of Grove, Danny Maggard of Carthage, Gary Maggard, State of Florida, Terry Maggard and wife, Ruth, of Verona, Richard Maggard and wife, Liz, of Webb City, Barb Lee of Carthage and Gloria Lewis and husband, Harold, of Carthage; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 14, 2024, at Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie, Missouri with Pastor Marvin Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in Sarcoxie Cemetery.
