Colleena Nimsick

Mrs. Colleena Joyce Nimsick, 88, of Sarcoxie, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Mercy Hospital, Carthage, Missouri.

Colleena entered this life on July 22, 1930 in Sarcoxie, Missouri. She was a 1948 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. On October 14, 1949 she was united in marriage to Edmond J. Nimsick, and together they shared fifty-one years, until his passing in 2000. In 1950 she and Edmond purchased their farm, in which she resided for more than sixty-eight years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed working on the farm, and did so until recently as well as spending time with family and friends and her little dog “Mollie”. Colleena was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Paulette Cooper.

Colleena is survived by her sons, Bill Nimsick (Carol) of Rogersville, Missouri and Bob Nimsick of Carthage, Missouri; one grandson, Joseph Nimsick (Jennifer); great grandchildren, Jake and Leah Nimsick; siblings, Bob Osborn of Pierce City, Missouri, Anna Lee Tillock and Marie Barnes, both of Sarcoxie, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial for Colleena will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, December 18, 2018, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sarcoxie with Father Matthew Rehrauer officiating. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home Chapel with Rosary service to follow.
