Richard Shipers

Richard Glen Shipers, 55, passed away after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer on December 18, 2018 at his Granby home. Richard was born May 30, 1963 in Bethany, MO to Eddie and Mildred (Hancock) Shipers. He was employed as a senior maintenance worker with MoDOT. Richard was a member of Granby First Christian Church. He enjoyed children, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and chainsaw carving.

Richard and Victoria Howe were married February 14, 1986 in Granby; she survives of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Mildred Huff of Pattonsburg, MO; two children, Curtis Shipers of Granby and Caleb Shipers and wife, Heather of Neosho; one brother, Larry Shipers of Gallatin, MO; one sister, Robin Mason of Bentonville, AR; several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Shipers; step-father, Orva Huff; and one brother, Gary Shipers.

A memorial service will be held 10 am, Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Clark Funeral Home, Granby Chapel, Granby, MO, with Rev. John Mehrens officiating.
