Rose M. Powell, age 92, of Webb City, Mo. passed away at 9:20 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at her home following a three month illness.Rose was born December 2, 1926 in Alba, Mo. She was a long time Webb City resident, moving to Grove, Ok. from 1976 until 2004 when she returned to Webb City. She was employed as a personnel manager with Wal- Mart in Grove beginning in 1976. She transferred to the Accounting office at the Webb City Wal- Mart when she returned to Webb City. She also was a Real Estate agent when she lived in Grove. Rose attended Villa Heights Christian Church in Joplin.
Rose married Charles L. Powell Jr. June 12, 1945 in Columbus, Ks. He preceded her in death on November 17, 2003. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include two sons, Claude Powell and wife Kim, and Craig Powell and fiance’,LeaAnn, all of Webb City, one daughter, Jennifer (Tuti) Hunt and husband Kendall, Seneca, Mo., one sister, Deanna Palone and husband Richard, Alba, Mo. ten grandchildren; Chad Powell, Casey Kean, April Smith, Jon Hunt, Chad Brooks, Megan Parks, Nikki Bengs, Whitney Clute, Caleb Powell, and Carson Powell, and eighteen great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Villa Heights Christian Church with Truman Brady, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Webb City with her grandsons serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
