Larry Dale Henson, age 78, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018, following a decline in health.
He was born December 21, 1939, in Joplin, Missouri, to Wilford and Edna Henson.
Larry worker as a machinist for many years at Vickers, FAG and retired from Aaron’s Automotive. He loved working with cars and small engines and tinkering with different projects. He was a big fan of Little Debbie cakes. He enjoyed working in the garden and fishing. His family was very important to him and he will be missed greatly.
He married Betty Crull on April 16, 1960, and she preceded him in death on December 15, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Terry Henson and Dunnie Henson; and two sisters, Frenita Myers and Joyce Briley.
Larry is survived by one son, Michael Henson, and wife, Lisa; two daughters, Michelle Brust and husband, Richard, and Suzanne Greer and husband, Terry; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Henson and Charles Henson; two sisters, Sherry Riggs and Rhonda Roland; and numerous extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Audie Tash officiating. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary chapel.
Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
