Carolyn ‘Sue’ Robeson, 68, of Anderson Mo., passed away on Tuesday December 25th, Christmas Day, surrounded by 6 her children and many grandchildren, and was joyfully reunited with her husband, Charles Robeson, who passed September 1, 2017.
Sue was born in Miami, Ok., to Harold Chester Shere and Laura Leah (Emert) Shere. She spent most of her childhood in Welch Ok. and moved to Joplin Mo. As a teenager, where she graduated from Joplin High School. Sue and Charles were married in 1978 and they lived in Anderson Mo., where they raised seven children.
Sue loved crocheting, sewing, Bingo, Karaoke, dancing, fishing, spending time with her family and friends and most of all being a “Nana” to her 18 Grandchildren, spoiling and showing them off as much as possible. She was also a dedicated member of New Bethel Church, was passionate about her faith and greatly valued her church community.
Sue unexpectedly lost her husband and best friend, Charles just 16 months ago. They had shared a life together for over 39 years and enjoyed dancing, singing and fishing together. They not only depended on each other, but they also enjoyed each other’s company. The two spent at least one night a week with their group of friends singing karaoke and sharing laughs as well as attending church together. They also loved spending time with their grandchildren and it was rare for more than a few days to go by without a visit from “Nana” and “Papa”. Sue missed Charles and was truly ready to be reunited with him in heaven.
She was preceded in death by her father Harold Shere, her beloved husband Charles Robeson, and her younger brother Jim Shere.
She was survived by her son, Andy Robeson and wife Clare, of Carthage Mo.; And daughters, Angie Williams (Robeson) and husband Zeb, of Anderson Mo.; Christy Johnson, of Anderson Mo.; Lori Scott, of Racine Mo.; Misty Curtis, of Webb City Mo.; Tammy Samuels and her husband Dale, of Joplin Mo.; and a step-daughter Tina Kernell and husband Russ, of Bradyville, Tn.; “Nana” was blessed with 18 Grandchildren and 15 Great grand-children and 2 more on the way.
