Sheila Guinn

(From Clark Funeral Home)

Sheila L. Guinn, 62, of Stella, Missouri, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord on August 6, 2026, at her home surrounded by the love of her family.

Born June 17, 1964, in Stella, Missouri, Sheila was one of two daughters born to Ronnie and Sharon (Hance) Kimbrough. A lifelong resident of the East Newton community, she graduated from East Newton High School with the Class of 1982 before earning her nursing degree from Crowder College.

She devoted her career to caring for others, serving as an LPN at Sale Memorial Hospital, and later with the East Newton School District. She was lovingly known as "Nurse Sheila" even after retiring. Nursing wasn't simply her profession—it reflected the compassion and servant's heart she carried throughout her life.

On March 31, 1978, Sheila and Keith went on their first date. They were married on July 17, 1981, at Stella Baptist Church and spent the next 45 years building a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love.

While Sheila enjoyed traveling—especially cruises—and never missed an opportunity to reconnect with her East Newton classmates at Homecoming or special gatherings, her greatest joy was her family. Nothing made her happier than being "Memaw." She treasured every trip to cheer on her grandchildren at school programs and sporting events, and every moment spent making memories with those she loved most.

She also faithfully served her community by volunteering at Macedonia Cemetery, where she helped families research information and lovingly cared for the grounds. Sheila also served as a member of the East Newton School Board for the past several years, where she continued serving her students the best way she knew how. Sheila was a devoted christian and lived her faith through quiet acts of kindness, generosity, and service.

Even during her illness, Sheila faced each day with remarkable courage, dignity, and grace—the same strength that defined her throughout her life.

Sheila is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years, Keith; her children, Jaysa Bookwalter and husband, Nathaniel of Pelham, Alabama; Jaclyn McCully and husband, Nicholas of Stella; and Justin Guinn and wife, Kaci of Stella; her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Masters and husband, Hayden, Cole Bookwalter, Caleb Bookwalter, Alivia McCully, Jaxson McCully, Wyatt McCully, Emma McCully, Remi Guinn, Sadi Guinn, and Silas Guinn, all of whom lovingly knew her as "Memaw"; her sister, Michele Christman and husband, Nick; nieces Danielle Sarratt and Morgan Starbuck; great-nephew Kelby Sarratt; great-niece Reid Sarratt; and great-nephew Stellan Starbuck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronnie and Sharon Kimbrough, and her beloved granddaughter, Maci Guinn.

Her greatest legacy was not found in the places she worked or the things she accomplished, but in the family she loved fiercely, the faith she lived daily, and the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Macedonia Cemetery, c/o Clark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 26, Granby, Missouri 64850.

  1. Our deepest sympathies to all the family at this time. Sheila was beautiful inside and out, a testament to her parents loving example. As a parent of Triway kids, I always felt blessed to know Nurse Sheila was there looking out for each child there. May precious memories and faith bring comfort to you all.
