John Dragoo

John Richard Dragoo of Seneca passed away at the age of 80 on June 18th, 2018 at Joplin Gardens Nursing Home after a short illness. John was born in Paducah, Kentucky on April 16, 1938 to John Morgan and Verna Catherine Dragoo. He graduated from Seneca High School with the Class of 1956, he also attended Joplin Junior College. He was baptized in the Seneca Christian Church in the early 1950's.

John married the love of his life, Linda S. Williams in Seneca on May 23, 1959. His first love was for his wife and 3 boys. He also loved fishing, hunting, golfing, bowling and square dancing.

John and Linda moved to Dallas, TX where he worked for Cables Milk Company and Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. When they moved back to the Seneca area John worked with his father in Dragoo Plumbing & Heating. John was a former Assistant Fire Chief for the Seneca Volunteer Fire Department and also worked as a former Reserve Police Officer for the City of Seneca. He later worked for Newton County Sheriff's Department as a Reserve Deputy.

John is survived by his wife, Linda of 59 years. 3 Sons, Morris and his wife Raeanne of Seneca; Steven and his wife Denise of Webb City and Jeffery and his wife Michelle of Neosho. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren along with 6 great grandchildren. His sisters: Joan Kellenberger and husband Gene of Tulsa, OK and Suzanne Kelly and husband Joe of Seneca, MO and best friend Lee Kellenberger and wife Janice of Tyler, TX.

John was preceded in death by his parents John Morgan and Verna Catherine ( McCorkell ) Dragoo; his Step Mother, Lolita ( McCorkell ) Dragoo and one Grandson Cody Dragoo.

There will be a memorial service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Seneca Christian Church with Truman Brady presiding. His body has been taken for cremation with interment at a later date.

Lenora Clark

Lenora Ellen (Farless) Clark, age 84, Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her home with family at her side.

Lenora was born May 12, 1934 in March, Missouri (Dallas County), the youngest of seven born to the late Roy and Loma Farless.

Her parents owned and operated a rural general store and service station. She graduated from Charity High School in 1952. Her father passed away while she was in high school, so after graduation she helped her mother tend to the store until it was sold. She then went to work for Kraft Foods in Springfield, Missouri.

Lenora married Charles A. Clark in Springfield on March 8, 1958. She continued at Kraft until the birth of their first daughter, Carrie Dawn, July 12, 1960. The second daughter, Charla Gaye was born December 2, 1963. She was a stay at home mom until the family moved to Carl Junction in 1972. She began her career in retail sales, mainly cosmetics, fragrances, and women's clothing at Newman's Department Store for 20 years.

Lenora was a loving, loyal, and supportive wife, and a very caring and loving mother and grandmother. She was a sincere friend to many, and always looked for the good in others. She was a small lady with a HUGE heart. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Carl Junction where she was known for her comforting card ministry. She partnered with her husband teaching Sunday school, and serving in the nursery for many years. She had a special place in her heart for "her babies".

Her favorite Bible reference was First Corinthians 13, verse 13 about love, because her life reflected this Christ like love. She was often characterized by the Fruits of the Spirit. She was a selfless, generous, humble spirit, and will forever be known for her sweet smile and comforting words to all.

In addition to her parents, Lenora was preceded in death by her brothers, Dorsey Farless, Werphy Farless, and Bill Farless; sisters, Virginia Keim, Betty Atteberry, and Tootsie Jones.

Lenora is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charley Clark; her two daughters, Carrie DeGraff and husband Mark, Charla Storm and husband Randy all of Carl Junction; four grandchildren, Jordan DeGraff and wife Kat, Lucas DeGraff, Chance Storm and Taylor Storm; several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care Lenora and the family received from the Doctors and Staff at Freeman West Hospital, and Hospice Compassus.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Carl Junction with Pastors Lester Green and Ryan Melton officiating. Interment will follow in Carl Junction Cemetery with Jordan DeGraff, Lucas DeGraff, Chance Storm, Taylor Storm, Darold Farless, and Larry Jones serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Jones, Barry Keim, Blaine Farless, Randy Farless, Ronnie Keim, and Dennis Atteberry.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Carl Junction on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Carl Junction.

Hunter Calderon

Hunter Diego Calderon, Quapaw, OK passed away suddenly on June 20, 2018 at 23 years of age. He was born April 27, 1995 in Rogers, AR to Juan Carlos Calderon and Angel Lyn Cook.

Hunter was a prankster who loved to “steal” his family members’ cell phones and hide them. He collected soda tabs for recycling and loved watching bonfires. He will be remembered as a loving, pure soul.

Hunter is survived by his mother, Angel Cook, Quapaw, OK; brothers, Trent Cook, Elijah Worth, both of Quapaw, and Roger Courtney, Washburn, MO; sisters, Skye Enochs, Quapaw, Alissa Cook, Pea Ridge, AR, and Jordan Rodriquez and husband, Keenan, Neosho, MO; and aunt Kimber Robinson. He was preceded in death by his step father, Michael Cook; his grandmother, Phyllis Robinson; and an aunt, Penny Deason.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Rex Wheeler

Rex R. Wheeler, age 77, of Carthage passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Webb City Health & Rehab. He was born on September 20, 1940 in Carthage, Missouri to Andrew Calvin Wheeler and Loyce Wormington Wheeler. Rex was an electrician for Hercules for many years, loved to hunt, fish, and basically anything he could find to do outdoors and he loved his dogs.

Rex was a huge Webb City sports fan, especially when it came to football, wrestling and softball he would attend any game he possibly could. He married Cheryl (Tabor) Wheeler on May 10, 1963 in Webb City and she survives him at their home.

Rex is also survived by his daughter, Kristy Rogers and her husband Brad of Webb City; son, Randy Wheeler of Joplin; brother, Leroy Wheeler of Joplin; sister, Sandra Sue Cole of Carthage; grandchildren, Zechariah Wheeler, Aeddan Wheeler, Kailey Rogers, Garrett Rogers, Sonja Wheeler, Danielle Tilton; and one great grandchild, Ebin Wheeler.

The family will have a graveside service at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin.

Mark Redd

Mark Alan Redd, 50, of Lexington, passed away May 13, 2018 at his father's home in Oronogo, Missouri.

Mark was born May 27, 1967 in Grandview, Missouri to Dean and Roberta (VanGorden) Redd. He worked in residential construction.

Mark is survived by his father and step mother, Dean and Norma Redd of Oronago, Missouri; children, Nichalos Redd of Macon, Missouri, Rebecca Wiley of Mississippi and Andrew Davis of Mississippi; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Pam and Ron Fuenfhausen of Lexington and Tina and Roger McFadden of Lexington. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Burial will be in Durnell Chapel Cemetery, Collins, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Durnell Chapel Cemetery

FranK Jenkins

Frank Delano Jenkins, age 79, Joplin, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his home with family at his side.

Frank was born January 5, 1939 in Milo, Missouri, one of ten children born to the late Ernest Cleo Jenkins and Henrietta Jones Jenkins. He worked as a roofer all of his adult life, moving to various areas to work. He began working at the Salvation Army in Nebraska where he was baptized, and then worked on grain elevators in Nebraska and Iowa before moving to Joplin in 1985. He worked for Joplin Roofing for many years, and was an independent contractor who traveled to different locations in Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois working as a roofer. After retiring, he enjoyed working in his garden, and watching television, especially wrestling with his kids.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by four sisters. and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Montgomery Jenkins, whom he married December 17, 1984 in Jasper, Texas. Also surviving are three sons, Frank Delano Jenkins, Jr., Brian Lynn Jenkins both of Omaha, Nebraska, and Kevin Lynn Jenkins and wife Sherry of Spokane, Washington; brother, Ernest "Ernie" Jenkins of Juniata, Nebraska; stepchildren, Jay Newman and wife Kelly, and Betty Sue Newman all of Joplin; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jeff D. Martin officiating.

Lillard Bailey

William “Lillard” Bailey, 81, of Neosho, Missouri, passed away June 20, 2018. He was born March 11, 1937 in Ridgley, MO to Sharden and Bessie (Day) Bailey. Lillard married Loretta Robinson on May 29, 1971, and she preceded him in death on November 14, 2016. He had worked at a Talbot Wire for many years. Lillard was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness church. He enjoyed tractor pulls and bluegrass music and shows.

Lillard is survived by four children: Harold Honeycutt of Neosho, Phill Bailey of Wheaton, Bill Bailey of Wheaton and Pat Jordan of Neosho; 3 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 23 at 10:00 am at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho.

Interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter, MO.

The family will have a time of visitation on Friday, June 22 from 6-7 pm at Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
