Carl Wayne Benner, 82, Granby, MO went to be with his Lord, October 10, 2015 at his home after a short illness. Carl was born February 10, 1933 in Knox City, Missouri to Carl & Alta Faye (Sharpe) Benner. Carl served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Firestone, Wheel Division in assembly and later as a custodian for the Neosho School system until his retirement. Carl was a member of the Bible Holiness Assembly of God Church in Neosho. He loved to garden and do carpentry work.
Carl married Carol Wiley, November 3, 1956 in Ewing Mo. She survives. Additional survivors are five sons: Craig and Toni Benner, Inola, OK, Curk & Cynthia Benner, Valley View, TX, Christopher and Christie Benner Granby, MO, Cameron & Joy Benner and Cliff & Kristy both of Neosho, MO. One daughter, Carmen & Eric Chilson of Tampa, Florida. Thirty grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. One sister, Wanda & Wesley Sparks, Kirksville, MO.
