Lynda “Renee” Dean age, 47 of Joplin, Mo passed away on Monday October 19, 2015 at her home. She showed great determination and high spirit over her twenty-two year battle with cancer. She was born on July 21, 1968 in Wichita, Ks. She married Scott Dean on August 24, 1992 in Miami, Ok. She was a member of the Busy Bee’s Cancer Survivors, enjoyed cooking genealogy and collecting and taking pictures.
She is preceded in death by her mom Karen Maxwell, and step dad Byrl Herndon. Survivors include her husband Scott of the home, a daughter Krysta Heritage and husband Dustin, three grandchildren: Grayson, Giuliana and Garner Heritage; all of Joplin, Mo; a brother Ken Herndon and wife Carrie of Manhattan, Ks; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday October 23, 2015 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory with Billy Cox Minister officiating. Burial will follow in the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to the Hope 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation in care of the Mortuary. Arrangements entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
