Kristy Lea Tate, age 43 of Joplin, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 following a courageous two-year battle with cancer.
Born September 1, 1972 in Joplin, she was a homemaker, loving wife, caring mother and grandmother. Her lifetime was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Monte Harold Tate, with whom she had spent twenty-two years. Additional survivors include three sons, Jacob Simpson and wife Amanda of Joplin, Kody Simpson of Joplin, Kristopher Watts of Langley, OK; two daughters, Summer Tate and Savannah Tate, both of the home; two grandchildren, Gabriella True Randall and Leana Willow Simpson; her mother, Sandy Taylor of Branson, MO; and a sister, April.
Kristy was preceded in death by grandparents, Willie and Alice German, with whom she was particularly close.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at South Joplin Christian Church.
