Mrs. Peggy Ann (Hines) Crockett, 62, of Stella, Missouri, departed this life on Monday evening, October 5, 2015, surrounded by her family at her residence after a brief battle with cancer.
Peggy entered this life on February 16, 1953, in Granby, Missouri, born to the union of Kenneth and Rose Lee (Pridemore) Hines. She was raised in Goodman and Anderson, Missouri and was a 1971 graduate of Neosho High School. She furthered her education by attending Crowder College in Neosho and Northeastern Technical Center in Afton, Oklahoma. For several years she was a line supervisor at Tyson Foods in Neosho, Missouri. She retired in February of 2015, from the Oklahoma Transportation Authority after eight years of loyal service. On June 2, 2001, she was united in marriage to Rodney Crockett and together they have shared the last fourteen years. She enjoyed gardening with her father, researching family genealogy and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Peggy was of the Southern Baptist Faith.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Timothy Hines.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Rodney Crockett of the home; three children, Dee Williams and husband, Jeff, of Granby, Missouri, Marty Jones of Miami, Oklahoma and Mandy Vail and husband, James, of Grove, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her parents, Kenneth and Rose Hines of Goodman, Missouri; three brothers, Danny Hines of Goodman, William Hines of Goodman and Don Hines of Anderson; a sister, Anita Reynolds also of Goodman; her father and mother in-law, Raymond and Goldie Crockett of Vinita, Oklahoma; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crockett are 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015 at Exciting Living Word Fellowship in Anderson, Missouri with Pastors Bob Martin, David Cox and Haskell Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Howard Cemetery in Goodman, Missouri. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Dee Williams, Marty Jones, Jeff Williams, James Vail, Logan Vail, Danny Hines, William Hines, Don Hines and Drew Williams. Kolton Levi Jones, Logan Kael Jones and Nathan Cantwell will be serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
