Sally J. Chaligoj, age 60 of Carl Junction passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Mercy Hospital of Joplin.
She was born on March 7, 1955 in Neosho, Missouri to James M. Gowen and Minnie (Freel) Gowen. Sally was a member of the Smithville Christian Church and a homemaker.
She married Rick J. Chaligoj in May of 1979 in Webb City, and he survives at their home. Sally is also survived by her sons, Joe Chaligoj and wife Celeste of Joplin, Brad Chaligoj of Carl Junction, Jesse Chaligoj of Carl Junction; along with 6 grandchildren, Carley Chaligoj, Brock Chaligoj, Veda Chaligoj, Amarah Chaligoj, Rebecca Chaligoj, and Aidan Chaligoj.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Smithville Christian Church. A visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church. Burial will follow in Carl Junction Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Smithville Christian Church in her memory.
