Gail Ann Henson, age 74 of Joplin, passed away at 9:15 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield following a short illness.
Born May 22, 1941 in Joplin, she was the daughter of the late William H. Rose and Jessie Guston Rose and lived in Joplin her lifetime. Gail graduated from Joplin High School and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
She married Henry Lee Henson on April 23, 1987 at Miami, OK. He survives at the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Jeri Ann Schrader and husband Jerry of Joplin, Brenda Hargis and husband Marvin of Galena, KS; a son Donald Routledge and wife Melissa of Neosho; a stepdaughter, Opal Roberts and husband Michael of Webb City; a brother, Donald Rose of Chula Vista, CA; a sister, Athalee Periotti of Massachusetts; eight grandchildren, Joshua Woodward, Aaron Newby, Justin Routledge, Shelby Routledge, Brittany Routledge, Lewis Arnett Jr., Nicole Wiegand and Blake Hargis; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Fannin and brother, Jack Rose.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Family members served pallbearers. .
