Louise Hobbs, 86 years, of Southwest City, Missouri was called to her heavenly home on Friday, June 1, 2018 at her daughter's residence with her loving family by her side.
Louise was born on October 3, 1931 in Noel, Missouri, daughter of the late Howard William and Anna May (Cantrell) Penn. She married Lester Hobbs on December 15, 1948 at Pineville, Missouri and to this union five children were born. She was a homemaker; worked 20 plus years of poultry farming. Louise was adored by all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. A true matriarchal society in her home. Very quiet, amazing and very humble. Was a true Christian of the RLDS Faith. Her family was the most important aspect of her life; she was a good influence on all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Hobbs; a child, Mary Jane Hobbs; five brothers, Chester Penn, Oscar Penn, Floyd Penn, Sherman Penn and Frank Penn; four sisters, Ruby Murphy, Virgie Hobbs, Jane Murphy and Bonnie Penn.
Louise is survived by her children, Bill Hobbs and wife, Lynn of Thayer, Missouri, Karen Tompkins and husband G.W. of Southwest City, Missouri, Patricia Bragg, of Gentry, Arkansas, Tommy Hobbs and wife, Pam of Pineville, Missouri.; a twin brother, Louis Penn; a sister, Freida Burnett; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; as well as a host of other family and friends who will deeply miss Louise and her kind gentle spirit.
Graveside services for Louise will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri. Pastor Mark Kailbourn. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Southwest City Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home.
