Jerry Caskey

Jerry Dean Caskey, age 60, Joplin, passed away at 12:23 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at a local nursing center after an illness.

Jerry was born April 6, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Charles G. Caskey and Lorene W. Fowler Caskey and had lived in Joplin most of his life.

Jerry attended Joplin schools and worked for St. John's Nursery, Joe Harding, Inc. and Sunbeam Products. He was a member of First Christian Church and a former member of the Boy Scouts Troop #3.

Jerry enjoyed reading about history, listening to music and creating art. He was fortunate to have some of his work displayed at the Spiva Center for the Arts in Joplin.






Survivors include a son, Nickolas A. Caskey, Daly City, California; a daughter, Jennifer Bricker-Roland; his brother, Richard E. Caskey and girlfriend, Julia Young, Joplin; three cousins, Keith Schatzman, Kevin Schatzman, Katie Bartley; former wife, Laurie Tandy; and several other extended family members.

Memorial services are planned for Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Jeff Martin will officiate. The family will receive friends following the services at the mortuary.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
