Timothy C. 'Tim' Yates, age 65, passed away at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Freeman Hospital.
Tim was born July 8, 1953 in Joplin to Betty York Yates and the late Randall Yates.
Tim worked in sales for most of his working life. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. Tim enjoyed working in his 'man cave', tinkering with his corvette and '69 black camaro named, 'Tina Turner'. He was a regular at MOKAN, rode motorcycles and went fishing any chance he had. Tim loved his family and will be missed by all who knew him.
He married Lynne Marino in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She survives at the home.

Yates, Joplin, Shane Lee and wife, Heather, Carl Junction, William Tyler Yates, Joplin, Spencer Yates and girlfriend, Brittany, Minnesota, Brenden Hicks, Joplin, Eric Hicks, Joplin, Alisha Hicks, Joplin; sisters, Vicky Branch and husband, Chris, Joplin, Sandy Risor, Joplin; his mother, Betty Yates, Joplin; fourteen grandchildren, Taylor Yates, Natalie Baker, Gage Paff, Hannah Lee, Loren Lee, Jensen Lee, Zach Barlett, Preston Lee, Sierra Lee, Robbie Lee, Brady, Jasmin, Kelly and Madison.; two great grandchildren, Greyson Yates, Asher Barlett; niece, Brooke Lawrence and husband, Cameron and their daughter, London; nephew, Ryan Branch and wife, Jennifer; and many extended family members and good friends, including Bob and Sheryl Smith, Joe Hooker and Jimmy Nolan.
Memorial services are planned for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel. Jeff Martin will officiate. Military honors will be provided at the mortuary. The family will receive friends following the services.
Tim loved people. His decision to be an organ donor was one in hopes that he could make a difference in someone else's life.
Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
