Stella Johnson

Stella Agnes Johnson, age 89, Joplin, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Joplin Gardens.

Stella was born April 26, 1929 in Afton, Oklahoma, daughter of the late Floyd Kastner and Bertha Seaton Kastner. She worked for Baker Davis Roderique where she retired after 30 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, the Joplin Elk's Lodge, and was a 50-year member, and Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, #345.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Lester Kastner, William Kastner, and Daniel Kastner.




Survivors include her husband, William West "Bill" Johnson whom she married February 14, 1990; son, Pete Randall and wife Patti of Joplin; step-sons, Bill Johnson and wife Sarah of Nashville, Tennessee, and Bob Johnson and wife Nedale of Carthage, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Dawn Bernard and her husband Will, Candy Randall, Abby Randall, Carrie Johnson, Talia Triplett, Whitney Baker and husband Evan, Gwyneth Johnson, Isaak Johnson, Chris Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Caravana, Elise, Aaron, Matthew, Elle, and Lydia; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Marcia Eichler officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
