Francis E. 'Sonny' Begey, Jr., age 57, Joplin, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 at a local nursing center.
Sonny was born February 1, 1961 in Neosho, Missouri to the late Francis E. Begey, Sr. and Patricia Langston Begey and had lived in the area all of his life.
Sonny worked in maintenance at several area truck stops for several years. He loved the outdoors and everything it had to offer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and painting. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Bilke and husband, Larry, Joplin, Brenda Sparks and husband, Steve, Seneca; nieces and nephews, Zach Bilke and wife, Felicia, Nathan Bilke and wife, Keri, Kristi Melton and wife, Kate, Josh Sparks and wife, Tara; and great nieces and nephews, Gwyn, Luke, Zane, Nya, Malea, Eden, Kati, Camden, Raely and Hadley.
Memorial services are being planned for a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
