Richard Stump

Richard Levi Stump, age 87 of Golden City, Missouri died Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Good Shepherd Nursing Center, Lockwood, Missouri.

Richard was born June 14, 1931 in Dudenville, Missouri to Levi Stump and Gladys (Harper) Stump. He was a 1951 graduate of Golden City High School and on February 5, 1953 he married Geraldine Fay Divine.

Richard had worked at Lawn Boy in Lamar, King Press in Joplin, & had a fertilizer supply business for 28 years, drove a school bus for seven years and operated a Grade A Dairy Farm for several years. He was a charter member of the Golden City Lions Club, a member of Golden City First Baptist Church and loved to fish and hunt.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years Geraldine, three sons, Richard Leon (Lori) Stump, Dennis (Tina) Stump, and Roy (Shannon) Stump; brothers, Clarence (Leota) Stump,Jasper, Missouri, Delbert (Laurie) Stump, Golden City, Missouri and Chester (Mildred) Stump, Camarillo, California; sisters-in-law Ann Stump, Rosemont, California, Geneva Leach, Lees Summit, Missouri and Glenda Palmer, Eldon, Missouri; grandchildren, Rustan & Lance Stump, Cody Roller, Isabelle Stump, Sarah Wilson, Braden Stump, Dallas Stump, Cameron & Jesse Menadue, Arlo and Adam Stump; Great grandchildren, Zoe and Wyatt Stump, Rebecca Stump, and Josie and Carter Wilson.




Preceding him in death were his parents, a daughter Gayle Stump and two granddaughters, Rebecca Stump and Kelly Jo Stump, a brother Lester Stump

Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Daniel Funeral Home with burial to follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City, Missouri.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
