Susan David

Susan Dean David, age 60, of Lamar, Missouri died Thursday, January 3, 2019 in Crete, Nebraska, where she was visiting family for the holidays.

Susan was born March 28, 1958 in Trenton, Missouri to Jerome Dean “Jerry” Bland and Carolyn (Butler) Bland. Susan had worked as head cook and as a waitress at Judy’s in Jasper for over 18 years. She loved going to the casino, playing Yahtzee and other family games, and watching new movies. Susan spoke several languages, because she was raised in a military family and had lived in several countries including France, Germany, and Vietnam.




Survivors include two sons, James Keziah of North Carolina and Michael Bahma of Lamar, Missouri; three daughters, Carolyn Boyles, Jamie Konopka both of North Carolina, and Victoria (David) Pilcher of Lamar, Missouri; two brothers, Steve (Tara) Bland, Mindenmines, Missouri and Carl Bland, Enid, Oklahoma; three sisters, Linda Kinnley, North Carolina, Brenda Farmer and Connie Bennett, both of Warrensburg, Missouri; and eleven grandchildren. Susan was preceded in death by, her mother and father, and a daughter, Bobbie Joe Bahma at age four.

A celebration of Susan’s life will be Thursday, January 17th at Memorial Hall in Lamar, Mo. Starting at 2pm.
