(From Parker Mortuary)Danny Gerald Walden, age 83, departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.
Danny was born August 29, 1937 in Chelsea, Oklahoma to the late Tom R. Walden and Lizzie N. (Bickford) Walden. He was one of fourteen children.
After graduating from high school, Danny proudly served in the United States Army. Danny was a roofer by trade but had also spent some time as a preacher in Arkansas. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Danny is survived by his children, David Walden, John Walden, Tawana (Walden) Baker; several siblings, extended family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with Johnny Walden officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
