(From Parker Mortuary)Ramona Frances “Mona” Schaffroth, 67, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
Mona was born February 27, 1954 in Joplin, Missouri to the late Roger and Frances Crosby. Mona was raised, and spent most of her life in Oregon, attending school in Estacada. She only recently returned to the Joplin area. Mona was an extremely hard worker and over the years had worked as a customer service representative for Portland Paging, driver for the United States Post Office, dispatcher for the Webb City Police Department and most recently as a driver for Uber and Lyft.
Mona had a very giving heart, always tending to and taking care of others. She had a love for music whether it was singing, listening to gospel music or playing the piano. She was a lifetime learner and enjoyed exploring and educating herself in new ways. Mona enjoyed tending to her flowers and garden, creating stained glass works of art, and lived life to the fullest. Her family was her greatest joy and she cherished the memories created with her family and friends. Mona will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, Mona was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Joy Ibsen.
She is lovingly survived by her two sons, Jason Doyle of San Francisco and Ryan Ibsen of Portland, Oregon; mother, Frances Crosby of Joplin, Missouri; sister, Millie Punzel and husband, Phillip of Joplin, Missouri; brother, Jerry Crosby and wife, Sharolyn of Gresham, Oregon; fur babies, Jack and Gracie; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Mona’s final resting place will be at George Cemetery in Estacada, Oregon.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
