(From Mason-Woodard Mortuary)Carol Lynn (Shepherd) Featherston of rural Carthage, MO. passed away on September 23rd, 2021 surrounded by her family. Carol came into this world on October 8th, 1947.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Don, of the home. Her daughter; Rileah Cutbirth and husband Michael of rural Carthage.
Additional survivors are her grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. Zachary Jones and wife Britney, Jacob Jones, Andrew Cutbirth and wife Mercedes, Kevin Cutbirth and wife Amanda, Alex Cutbirth and wife Natalie, Mikali Cutbirth. Seven great-grandchildren with baby Memphis due in February. Carol is also survived by her sisters; Sharon Kay Birge, Debbie Rubbottom, Terri Mooneyham and Kathy Rose, brothers; Larry Shepherd and Danny Shepherd and countless other relatives and friends.
Carol grew up and lived around the area of Southwest Missouri her whole life. She loved being a Missouri girl. While she was attending Carterville schools, she met the love of her life, Don Featherston. Together they had their daughter, Rileah. She has been such a wonderful gift to Carol and Don.
Carol was a devout Christian and she lived what she believed. She was passionate about making her crafts. There are no words that can be used to describe how truly wonderful she was and how her influence for good is felt by everyone. She lives on in our hearts and she will be truly missed.
Funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Mason-Woodard Chapel. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
