(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)Ethel L. Bliss, 79, Goodman, MO, passed away September 30, 2021 at her daughters home in Goodman after an illness.
Ethel Lola Pope was born May 19, 1942 in Pitcher, OK, the daughter of William I. and Dolly Marie (Harris) Pope. She was a homemaker after her retirement from Ramble Inn Motel.
Ethel L. Pope married John Lundblade June3, 1969 in Syracuse, KS and he preceded her in death June 25, 1987. She then married Ronald Bliss December 22, 1989 in Liberal, KS and he preceded her in death January 28, 2020. Edith was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include her children, Corinna Edwards, Goodman, MO, Virginia Murphy, Baxtersprings, KS, Vernon Lundblade, Syracuse, KS, Wayne Lundblade, Syracuse, KS, John Lundblade and wife Peggy, Sublette, KS; sisters, Eletha Swisher, Baxter Springs, KS and Norma Harmon, Garden City, KS; 20 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ethel was also preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Lola Beardsley, Debra Hassler, two brothers, Calvin Pope and Darrell Pope; three sisters, Dorthy Huff, Janie Grigsby and Betty Dean; one grandchild Gage Lundblade.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service, 1:00pm, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the Wesleyan Church in Syracuse, KS with Ray Frank officiating.
The body has been taken for cremation under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, MO.
