Betty Tank

Betty Jane Tank, age 70, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Betty was born March 26, 1951, to the late James Lucas and Zellia (Carver) Lucas in Illinois.

She was a Christian who enjoyed church and studying her bible, and loved gospel music. She loved music and sang in a band with her brother when she was younger. She enjoyed going to antique malls and thrift stores with her daughter. She loved time with her grandson and was getting to know her great grandchildren.

 

Betty spent many years in sales with various companies and loved interacting with her customers.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carla Lucas; sister, Vivian Vlastnik.

Betty is lovingly survived by her daughter, Denise Hicks (Brad); one grandson, Logan Hicks (Jeannie); and three great-grandchildren, Weston Hicks, Layton Vincent, and Kaeden Vincent. She is also survived by her siblings, Zellia Cloyd, Bobby Lucas (Lydia), Martha Burris (Bruce) and Jimmy Lucas, along with many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are under the special care and direction of Parker Mortuary.
