(From Clark Funeral Home)Evelyn Irene Bjorlokken, age 74, Webb City, Missouri, passed away at 2:10 a.m. on September 19, 2021, at Freeman West in Joplin, Missouri. She was born April 21, 1946, in Salem, Oregon, the daughter of the late Alice Kappler.
On July 21, 1962, Evelyn married Harlen Bjorlokken in Kootenai, Idaho. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1991.
Evelyn was a homemaker and was known for her excellent cooking skills. She adored cooking for others and crafting. Evelyn was gentle and kind, always putting others before herself, but was revered for her “won’t take no for an answer” strength.

Survivors include one son, Marvin Bjorlokken and his special friend, Shawnee, of Irwin, Missouri; one daughter, Teresa Bjorlokken of Webb City, Missouri; one sister, Carolyn Little of Montana; six grandchildren, Tiffney (Dakota) Baird, Lisa Walker, Alex Bjorlokken, Heath (Whitney) Johnson, Hauns Bjorlokken, and Heather Johnson; and fifteen grandchildren, Aleisha, Celisse, and Janessa Baird who live locally.
Evelyn had an over the moon love for her kids, grandkids and adopted grandkids.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn is preceded in death by her son, Kevin Bjorlokken, sister, Roselyn “Jackie” Bourque, and sister-in-law, Shirley Hillyer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Oakton Methodist Church, 318 South Hwy J in Lamar, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Oakton Methodist Church or Life Choices Medical c/o Clark Funeral Home, PO Box 66 Neosho, Missouri 64850.
