(From Simpson Funeral Home)Austin Christopher Richard Kerney passed away unexpectedly at home on September 17, 2021. He was born October 17, 1990 at Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois, son to Leslie Kerney and Barry Thurlo.
Austin graduated from Webb City High School in May 2009. He enjoyed camping, bonfires, swimming, spending time with his family and friends, and always ready to have a good time.
Austin is survived by his mother and step father, Leslie and Sander Barnett of Webb City; father, Barry Thurlo of Webb City; his stepmother, Charity Downey Brown of Stella; his partner Jake Johnson; sisters, Samantha Lucas of Joplin, Sarah Draper of Webb City, Brittany Thurlo of Stella; brothers, Derek Thurlo of Webb City, Jaxen Thurlo of Webb City, Brad Jones of Sarcoxie, Eric Jones of Sarcoxie; grandmother, Debra Hosp; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Doris and grandfather, Wallace Thurlo, grandmother, Sheryl Thurlo and grandfather, Tommy Hosp.
Austin has been taken for cremation and the family will have private services at a later date.
