(From Parker Mortuary)Russell Douglas Jordan, age 60, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Freeman West of Joplin.
Russell was born October 6, 1960 in Joplin, son of the late Fred Lee Jordan and Verna Lee (Carver) Jordan. He attended Joplin Schools and graduated from Memorial High School. He worked as a mechanic all his life, starting with Hines Trucking, and then with Jordan Disposal, and now U.S. Assets Recovery. He was a devoted family man, who loved spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Sue (Stayton) Jordan, who passed away on October 28, 2018; a brother, Arthur Jordan; and a brother-in-law, Seth Cupp.
Survivors include his son, Russell “Rusty” Jordan, his daughter, Amber Jordan both of Joplin; grandchildren, Whitney Davis, Cole Davis, Gillian Jordan, and Hunter Jordan; sisters, Ruth James and husband Ray, and Janie Cupp; brothers, Fred Leon Jordan and wife Connie, Charles Jordan and wife Kim, Brian Jordan and wife Kathy, and Randy Jordan and wife Valerie, all of Joplin; sister-in-law, Glenda Jordan of Joplin; and his companion, Angie Hall and her two children, Kayley and Kyle of Joplin.
Graveside services will be Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Denny Carver officiating.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Wednesday from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
