(From Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home)Theodore “Ted” Joe Towe Jr., of Springfield, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of September 1, 2021 at the age of 68 at his home in Springfield.
Mr. Towe, born in the town of Pueblo, Colorado on January 1, 1953 to Joe and Hazel Towe, spent much of his youth in Cassville, Missouri where he proudly played football for the Cassville Wildcats.
Ted lived large and loved big. He was always willing to help those in need and share what he had with others. As a long-time employee of Ozark Motor Lines, Ted was known as a hard worker who was willing to do whatever he was asked.
Survivors include his daughter, Savannah Brown (Jeremy) of Starkville, MS; two overall wearing grandsons, Judah & Levi; three sisters, Bonnie Thomas, of Bentonville, Arkansas, Pat Sorensen and her husband Bobby, of Neosho, and Susie Grundy, of Carthage; several nieces and nephews that Uncle Teddy thought the world of; and his caregiver, Melagros Ivie.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Hazel Towe; and his sister Jackie Goutney.
A memorial service will be held at Roaring River State Park near the CCC Pavillion on Friday September 10, 2021 at 2:00 PM. (GPS coordinates link below)

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Ted Towe Memorial Fund” at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
