Janice Kay Trease of Carterville, MO passed from this life Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She was 73.

Janice was born November 9, 1950 in Springfield, MO the daughter of Fred and Opha (Rapp) Hurst. She had lived in Carterville since 2011 moving from Miami, OK. Janice graduated from Marionville High School in Marionville, MO. She had worked in customer service at N.E.O. Federal Credit Union in Miami, OK for several years.

Janice was preceded in death by her husband Larry Trease and her parents.

Survivors include 1 son, David Bradley and wife Kristin of St. Peter’s, MO, 2 daughters, Shari Sharp and husband Jake of Commerce, OK and Stacy Moore and husband Chris of Carterville, MO, 2 stepsons, Kevin Trease and wife Trish of Dewey, OK and Mike Trease and wife Jodi of Miami, OK, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Chris Moore will be the eulogist. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. David Bradley, Kevin Trease, Mike Trease, Chad Trease, Jake Sharp and Chris Moore will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday prior to services at funeral home.
