(From Clark Funeral Home)Jo Martin, age 90, passed away on April 6, 2024. She was born to Alfred and Lillian Peterson on October 25, 1933, in Thornton, Arkansas.
Jo married the love of her life, George Martin, in Bentonville, Arkansas, on November 11, 1951.
A dedicated homemaker, Jo found joy in sewing and cooking. She lovingly crafted many of her daughter's prom dresses and other clothing items. Her culinary skills were admired by all who knew her. Jo was a member of the Clear Creek Primitive Baptist Church and was also involved in the Welcome Wagon, now known as the NewComers.
Jo is survived by her beloved husband George, her children Teresa Brockman and husband Greg of Joplin, Missouri, and Judy Wilber and husband Dave of Claremore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren Kyle (Kalli) Wilber and Kara Wilber, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as great-grandchildren Mia Hannah and Davis Wilber. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Beth Peterson of Hot Springs, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM at Kings Cemetery in Neosho. A visitation will be held from 12 - 1 PM prior to the service at Clark Funeral Home in Neosho, Missouri. Elder Terry Roach will officiate the service. Contributions made in memory of Jo can be made to Clear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, C/O Scott Freund, 20202 Mallard Rd., Neosho, MO 64850.
