Linda Madison

Linda Lorene Madison, age 71, of Lamar, Missouri passed away March 29, 2024.

Linda was born October 24, 1952 in Lamar, MO., to Cecil Leroy Norwood and Mary Lorene (Selvey) Norwood. On July 2, 1971, Linda married Charles Lee Madison Jr. at the Christian Church in Sheldon, Missouri. Charles and Linda lived in Girard, Kansas from 1971-1977 and then moved east of Lamar in 1977 where they still reside on the family farm. They had been married for 52 years.








Linda went to school in Sheldon K-12 and graduated in 1970. After high school she attended Cosmetology school in Nevada. She was owner and operator of Linda's Kut and Kurl for about 36 years. She also ran a Postal Service out of her beauty shop in Milford, MO. She loved visiting with her customers. Linda was inducted on August 17, 2019 into the Missouri 4H Hall of Fame for her 30+ years of dedicated service to the Barton County 4H program. She started her journey in 1986 as a project leader for the Irwin 4H Club. She then moved to the roll as a club leader, and Barton County 4H council secretary. After retirement she enjoyed traveling to Utah, Montana and Wyoming.

Survivors include her husband, Charles; one son, Mike Madison of Lamar, MO; one daughter, Christy (Casey) Pyle of Willard, Missouri; three grandchildren, Charlize Pyle, Callie Pyle and Mikayla Madison.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Milford Christian Church with burial to follow at Morehead Cemetery.








The family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024 until service time at the church.
