Marcinda Heath

Marcinda Heath, 61, passed away on April 9, 2024, in her hometown of Joplin, Missouri. She was born on January 24, 1963, in Joplin, MO. to Margaret (Hailey) Fry and the late DJ Fry.

A proud graduate of Webb City High School, Marcinda's bright smile and kind heart were what she will be remembered for the most. She was known for her ability to light up any room she entered and for her willingness to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her generous spirit was always felt.

She is survived by her mother, Margaret (Mickey) Fry; son, Jerrad Heath (Jennifer) of Joplin, MO.; daughter, Jennifer Gandy (Sky) of Neosho, Mo; brother, Rory Fry (Lynn) of Oronogo, MO.; sister, Brenda Fry (Carl Junction); and grandchildren, Trinity, Grayson, Addison, and Kaitlin. 

She was preceded in death by her father, DJ Fry, and the love of her life, Johnny Heath.

Those who knew Marcinda will remember her as the epitome of kindness and generosity. She was a woman who lived her life with an open heart, always ready to help and uplift others. Her memory will be treasured and she will be missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary. Burial will follow at Oronogo Cemetery. The family invites friends out for a time of visitation on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Arrangements are under the direct care of Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, MO.
