(From Parker Mortuary)Mike Johnson, 83, of Joplin, passed away peacefully on April 1st, 2024. He was born on October 26, 1940, in Carterville, Missouri.
Mr. Johnson served honorably in the United States Army and was discharged in 1964. He was married to his beloved wife, Judy (Kluba) Johnson, for nearly five decades until her passing.
Mike worked at JCPenney for 27 years.
A close 2nd to love for his family was a tumultuous affair with the cruelest sport created- golf.
There were enough good times (even several hole in ones) that Dad willingly accepted the excruciating frustrations of the con for about 50 years.
Mike is survived by his sons Kelly, Kevin, and Scott Johnson; grandsons Ryder, Dax, Aiden, and Liam; and the mothers of his grandchildren, Stephana and Michelle Johnson. He was predeceased by his wife, Judy.
Cremation arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.
