David Edwin Cash, 78, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at Carthage Health & Rehabilitation. David was born December 1, 1938 in Carthage to Maynard Edwin Cash and Beulah “Luna” Cash. David was a lifetime resident of Carthage, graduating from the Carthage High School Class of 1956. He worked as a mechanic at the Cash Garage for several years with his dad; he drove for EFD Freight and was a custodian for the Carthage R-9 School District.
David enjoyed building model trains and was a member of the Model Train Club, as well as the Circus Model Builders Club.
David is survived by one sister Judy Potter and husband Lister, Sr. of Lamar, one niece Melinda Wilson of Lamar, one nephew Lister Potter, Jr. of Pleasanton, Kansas, four great nephews and one great niece.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
